TOWN BOARD HAS PROPOSED WEIGHT LIMIT CHANGES ON CERTAIN ROADS IN WAWAYDANDA! Please READ and PASS THIS ONTO YOUR NEIGHBORS. PUBLIC HEARING ON THIS LAW THURSDAY, JULY 3, 2008 7:30 PM AT TOWN HALL. NYS & County Roads which runs thru the Town of Wawayanda: Route 6 , 284, 17A & 94 all have a 10 ton limit (except local delivery) Route 56 has a 12 ton limit (the old Davis Highway - Minisink Highway which connects to Route 6 after the 10 ton sign - which is posted right before the I-84 overpass on Route 6) Golf Links Road at one time had a 6 ton limit BUT Wawayanda's Town Board has proposed 12 and 15 ton limits for many roads that intersect with several of these roads. WHY??? Linked below is the proposed law and the list of town roads they are increasing in the hopes of stopping thru truck traffic. How is this possible when they are increasing the limits and by default making them a bypass road? Bates Gates Rd, Ryerson, Kirbytown, Greeves, McVeigh, Echo Lake, Dolsontown Rd...etc. Here is the link:
