TOWN BUDGET REPORT:

RAZZANO REWARDS HIMSELF;

SACRIFICES YOU!

     The town budget for 2007 calls for a 58% Raise for Supervisor Razzano.  He plans to vote himself health benefits at a cost of over $15,000 per year.  With his PART TIME salary of $26,000, this adds up to a 58% Raise!

     Razzano plans to reward his elected Republican town board members as well.  He plans on having them vote themselves the same health benefits at a cost of over $15,000 a year EACH!  This is an additional $60,000 per year!  A part time job that pays $5,000 per year, would then get a $15,000 annual benefit plan!

     Now that he has proposed this health care plan for himself and the town board, he must also offer it to ALL elected officials.  The town tax collector and Town Justices will also be eligible for  these medical benefits at the expense of the town.  This will add $45,000 more to the medical benefits bill, bringing the total to $120,000 annually that will be paid for by YOU THE TAXPAYER!

     Razzano is also considering lowering the number of years needed to retire with medical benefits from 25 to 20.  This will cost TAXPAYERS $75,000 for EACH employee that can take advantage of this proposal (5 years at $15,000 per year)!

     Razzano brags about cutting your taxes, but he is spending YOUR MONEY to benefit himself, not the town.

WHERE WILL THE MONEY COME FROM?

     Razzano proposes CUTTING OVER $100,000 from the Highway Department to pay for HIS PLAN.  This means less road repair for paving, less for snow plowing and less for salting of roads to keep you safe!  You will pay by risking YOUR health and safety!  He is willing to sacrifice your health and safety on the roads to provide for his and his supporters' personal health care in a part time job!

     Currently, only ONE Councilperson is against the proposed plan.  That is lone Democrat Councilwoman Gail Soro.  She alone is looking out for the taxpayers in this town.  This year, Razzano plans on cutting town services for his plan. In years to come, and when health care costs rise, RAZZANO WILL HAVE TO RAISE YOUR TAXES TO PAY FOR HIS HEALTH CARE POLICY AND EARLY RETIREMENT INCENTIVE!
