or a letter if you would like to get involved. About Us The Wawayanda Democratic Committee has enjoyed a long and distinguished history of service to our town. As we begin the Twenty-First Century, the names and faces of our members have changed, but our commitment to the town and its people remains as strong as ever. Many of our elected officials, both past and present, have come from our committee. The contributions of these people have had a long and lasting effect on our town. Through their efforts our town had grown tremendously, yet had managed to maintain a rural atmosphere. This has resulted in our town being a very desirable place to raise a family and, while wholeheartedly welcoming our many new neighbors, we continue to advocate "smart growth" through proper and well thought out planning and zoning. Town Court- 2:00 pm -Tuesdays - Town Justice Peter Gromacki and Town Justice Timothy McElduff Criminal Court- 12:00 pm - 1st & 3rd Thursday The Slate Hill Board of Fire Commissioner's meeting takes place on the 2nd Tuesday of every month and beings at 7:00 P.M. The meetings are held at the Wawayanda Social Hall located at 1975 Route 284. These meeting are open to the public. All meetings are held at the Wawayanda Town Hall located at 80 Ridgebury Road. Meetings begin at 7:30pm. Town Board Meetings are the First Thursday of every month and Town Board Workshop meetings are held the Third Tuesday of every month.
