POLITICAL STATEMENT I feel strongly that I am one of the most qualified persons in the Town of Wawayanda to run for Tax Collector in the November 2007 election. I feel this way because I have worked in the Wawayanda Assessor’s Office for over 9 years as their chief Clerk. Town residents come to my office on a daily basis for help with their tax bills, escrow details in conjunction with their mortgages, and a host of other questions pertinent to their unique problems. I also make sure that residents have the proper exemptions that the law entitles them to, as eligibility requirements change year to year. One of the things I intend to address is to set hours that will be more accommodating to town residents. Another is to assure the public that my door will always be open to them. I am dedicated to the highest standard of ethics and accountability and will continue to work hard for the citizens of Wawayanda. |
